Intense Greed

My challenge with this project was to create a collage that encapsulated a sin. For this collage I chose the sin of greed. I chose to have a main focus on the color green because it directly connotes greed. A majority of the images contained in the collage are from numerous magazines for advertisements like shoes or cars which can be a viewed as luxury items. I used multiples of these objects to ensure an over-abundance of commercialism or consumerism therefore entailing greed. I found it interesting to arrange the pieces of this collage in this way, where Benjamin Franklin’s face coincides with the lines of the lower left woman’s head which all match up with the woman on the rights shoulder line.
